Venair is committed to the future and innovation, for this reason, collaborate with projects such as the UPC ecoRacing. Where year by year UPC students design, develop and build 100% electric racing cars for participate in “Formula Student” – the engineering competition of excellence.
After months of hard work, UPC ecoRacing,a Formula Student team sponsored by Venair, has finally revealed their latest race car, the ecoRX. It is suited with a 4 wheel drive system, and UPC Formula Student team is the first Spanish team that uses this kind of technology, and an innovative carbon fibre monocoque.
UPC ecoRacing released the ecoRX on the Formula Student Spain 2018 held at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, along with the best electrical teams and universities from all over the world. The challenge was to run all the tests with an electric vehicle which was not seen before in Spain and to secure a base for the next seasons.
It was the first time that the ecoRX was seen in public after its presentation to the press and sponsors in June, where they could learn about the innovative technological features of the new prototype. Finally the incorporation of the first monocoque with the addition of an engine for each wheel was a big technological challenge for UPS Formula Student Team, but they did it.
